Dining in for lunch near 12:30; place is almost at capacity but was still able to get seated at the bar ! Luv <3 the vibe in this place; cozy, warm, inviting….Modern decor throughout, LEDs strategically placed to provide a welcoming ambiance. Menu choice is pretty extensive , ranging from ramen, sushi and Korean goodies. Food and service really up to par with the establishment; great place to checkout for lunch or dinner if you are in the downtown Bakersfield area! Yum Yum in your mouth! Just wanted to add a unique touch to the restaurant- they have some deep house chill music being spun by a girl dj virtually ( she’s being streamed live on the big screen)!

This is as good as it’s going to get in Bakersfield when it comes to Ramen. I loved my chicken karaage - it was crispy, and honestly, the meat was quite tender inside the fried outer shell.

I had the Ramen as well, which was well seasoned – the broth had a decent flavor to it without being overly salty and the noodles were thick and very good as well. Definitely worth a try if you’re in the area.

Tried this spot because I heard it was one of the best places for ramen in town.
First impression, place was a little stuffy but cool and modern.

Ordered some gyoza, a crunch roll, a bowl of hon ramen and spicy tonkatsu.
Gyoza were good, edible nothing special. The crunch roll was the best item of the day . Fresh and full of flavor.
The ramen was good but not great. The noodles themselves were good but the ramen needs more toppings.
Side not u can add additional toppings if preferred
But I wanted to try it as it comes.
Will I be back, probably not. I’ll stick to my regular ramen spot .

Great little restaurant and great food. The service was great and friendly with some music videos playing on the screens. I've had their food to go before but it tasted so much better fresh. I ordered the pork ramen and the meat was really tender. Definitely a place people need to check out.

Such a great place to eat in Bakersfield any day of the week. The ramen is always so delicious and full of flavor. Along with the sushi always served fresh I always recommend this place who are locals to bako who have never been.

There's a few other ramen spots in town, and for the most part each of their menus are completely different from each other including this one. Sushi, chicken karaage, gyozas, and more. The stars of the menu are their signature dishes, the Hon Ramen (pork broth), and Hon Sushi. Both were extremely good. The ramen's broth was rich without being overpowering, and had a clean taste. The chashu pork was good too, with a good sear and good meat to fat ratio making it very tender. The sushi was savory, sweet, and good quality. The chicken karaage had a nice balance of crunch and tenderness and the spicy mayo it comes with pairs nicely. The gyozas could've used more filling, but was still flavorful, and the plating of it was nice. Baked salmon roll was good, and little too much sauce, but you can still taste the core food. The california tempura roll was really good. A nice balance of tempura batter. The The place looks good and more expensive than the actual prices of the menu. Prices remain comparable or cheaper than other ramen and sushi places in town. Overall, great experience, great looking place, and great food.

Easily one of my favorite restaurants in Bakersfield. I’ve been to many ramen restaurants all over Southern California now and Hon is still the best I’ve had. I’ve taken friends, dates, and family here and they all were impressed with the quality of the food here.
The spicy garlic miso ramen is incredible, I finish all the noodles and the broth every time I go here. The appetizers are solid, chashu buns and jalapeño bombs being their best. Their sushi like the happy dragon roll and the dragon ball are also fantastic.
If you want Ramen in Bakersfield, get Hon!!

Legitimately the best ramen I have ever had-and I had many. Great vfm too. Nice atmosphere and friendly staff. 100% recommended.
